The Inn
The Inn, Gasthof Schafberg Alpe, is situated on 1365 meters a.s.l. (approx. 4480 ft.), surrounded by beautiful alpine pastures with one of the most magnificent views amidst of the Salzkammergut.
The panoramic view from the Dachstein to the Berchtesgaden Alps and from Lake Wolfgangsee to Lake Chiemsee is absolutely fascinating.
Up here you will finally be able to take a break from everyday life - far away from all the rush and stress!
The Inn consists of three very cosy dining rooms - with Swiss Pine panelling and funiture from the 19th century - and offer seating capacities for 14, 30 or 60 people.
A large wood-fired tiled stove provides comfortable warmth.
22 beds in simple but cosy guest rooms with constant hot and cold water facilities and magnificent panoramic views en suite are available. Furthermore, three tourist-rooms accommodate up to 20 people. A shower-room is situated on 1st floor (US: 2nd floor).
The Gasthof Schafberg Alpe has been in the family for more than 100 years. Landlord Wolfgang Pöller offers traditional Austrian cuisine and pays particular attention to using local products. However, a refreshing cup of proper English Breakfast or Earl Grey Tea will also be offered most gladly – if requested.
